I remember, in 1993, when working for you, the camping was still just at the beginning, with plumbing and electrical works going on, with you maneuvering a large tractor to dig holes in the ground for the pillars of future to be bath and shower areas... Such a long time and you went such a long way since then. I am really happy for you as it appears you managed to transform that little camping site into a large and well endowed one with loads of tourist and traffic. Het is een heerlijke camping met een heerlijk terras, waar we regelmatig van de pizza's hebben genoten. Ook de busservice naar het station op onze Rome-dagen is heel welkom: lopen zou een flinke klim zijn geweest. Niet alleen de nabijheid bij Rome is aantrekkelijk, ook de streek zelf -midden in Etruskenland- is prachtig en de moeite waard om te verkennen. | Message: | Vi har gæstet Camping Porticciolo i 2005, 2006 og igen her på vores forårstur i tiden 2/5 til 13/5 2008. Pladsen er en dejlig campingplads, veldrevet og pænt vedligeholdt. Vi bruger pladsen som udgangspunkt for besøg i Rom, her er værten meget behjælpelig med rådgivning, ligesom der er transport til stationen med pladsens bus. Dejlig oversigtskort over egnen og byen Rom med metroen indtegnet udleveres ved ankomsten til pladsen. Spørg jer for i receptionen om billetter og og råd om besøg i Rom. Men mest af alt kommer vi igen på grund af værtsparret på pladsen, altid imødekommende og hjælpsomme, man føler sig virkelig velkommen. Glæder os til næste gang. |

| Message: | We stayed in May 2008 and loved this campsite. It was a great sadness to have to come home. The owneres are friendly and so helpful you wouldn't believe. The lake is beautiful and the site clean and well cared for. If you are staying for a week or more it is ideal to explore Rome and surrounds as it takes only an hour to get to the centre of Rome. If you only have a few days however it may be a bit far out. We are planning to come back in September to just stay and relax on site and swim in the clear waters of the wonderful lake. Can't wait 'til then. |

| Message: | We stayed in Braccianno in may 2008 and found the campingsite "Porticciolo" a very good starting point to visit Rome. Walking to the trainstation of Bracciano was about 30 minutes. Then a train to the center of Rome in 45 minutes. It was very easy to visit Rome. All the information is available at the reception of the campingsite. I have also used the free wifi service. It worked well surfing the web. I could not use skype to phone over the internet (maybe next time). We have enjoyed our 4 day in Bracciano very much. Thank you! | Message: | We should say: Porticciolo is a terrible camping, don’t go there……so it will remain quiet (for our next visit). However, the fact that we planned a stay of five days but left after two weeks (the 25th of April till the 9th of May) says more than enough. I don’t know how busy the camping is during the high-season, however at the end of April/ first part of May it’s lovely quiet. The water temperature of the lake was still a little bit fresh (at end of April 15C, the last day of our stay however already 18C), but for a hero no problem. In contrast with the other campings near Bracciano, a walk to this city is not too far. Along a (rather steep) trail it's only 1,5 a 2km. The camping-service is perfect: for every morning (except the Sundays) you can order fresh bread, also ‘pane intergrale’, on Sundays however you can order croissants. The pizza’s in the pizzeria are very good. When you bring your own laptop, you will have free WIFI in the area around the bar. The camping is also a perfect starting-point for a visit to Rome. The bus-service (€1) from the camping brings you around 9AM in a few minutes to the station of Bracciano, around 10.15am you are walking in Rome. The price of a BIRG train ticket from Bracciano to Rome, including all the public transport in Rome and the trip back will cost you only €6,- !!! An improvement is that you don’t need a coin anymore for a shower. I prefer to pay a little bit more without the use of coins. However: in most of the(men)showers it’s hard to get wet, a little bit more water would be nice. Last but not least I have to mention the very friendly and helpful owners Alessandra and Alessandro and also the rest of the camping-personal. The last morning, when we druk our last espresso coffee, Alessandra made a nice photo and mailed that to our home. Every morning at 8.55h the campingbus brought us to the railway station and at 10.15h we were in the centre of Rome! (€6 a dayticket including transport in Rome and back!) The way back from the station we walked through the beautiful town of Bracciano down the (steep) hill to the camping. | Message: | we have spent a lovely period in camping Porticciolo, 11 days of fure pleasure. Although it was early season (24 March- 4 April) the owners received us with a lot of southern warmth. Starting from cheap traintickets(6€ return ticket + free metro + free bus for 1 day)and with the shuttle service of the camping you end up in Rome 1 hour later. If you are interested in culture, more than just the famous highlights, the owners will readily, and with pride and joy in their eyes inform you on smaller, but very authentic musea, without having to queue up for an hour ... If you are looking for rest, the beauty of the lake, which you can witness from your caravan or camper window, and an undisputable service, Porticciolo is the place to be ! Anyhow, we will surely return, and we definitely don't like the idea that we are leaving tomorrow. |

| Message: | Wij zijn hier een paar dagen geweest in september 2007 met de camper. Op dat moment was het er rustig. Geweldig leuke camping. Niet luxe maar voldoende voor ons. 's-avonds en 's-middags kun je lekker maar eenvoudig eten op het sfeervolle terras. Internet is gratis als je een laptop met wifi meeneemt. Zeer vriendelijke eigenaar en vrouw die je overal mee helpen. Warme douche met muntjes -> schoon maar eenvoudig. De verbinding met Rome is goed, net als op de site staat. Terug goed uitkijken met vertrektijden van de bus naar de camping (openbaar vervoer). Die rijdt niet zo vaak. Terug lopen gaat ook; 1/2 uur bergafwaarts. Heen naar de trein (bergopwaarts) voor ongeoefende lopers geen aanrader (een hele klim). Wat ons betreft een prima camping; puur, geen toeters en bellen, vriendelijk, sfeervol en betaalbaar. Thanks to your very good camping and services Opening hours for the bar, reception, minimarket etc, the music, the trees, the quiteness at the private areas, the cleanliness of the surroundings including swimming area on the lake, your bus services and many other creative/ arts works on the camping ground, including the large amount of information you provided us, we have really been able to enjoy every bit of our last days in Rome! Only now we realised there is still a lot to visit around Rome, mostly thanks to you, and so we shall be back again soon since our 5 nights stay at your camping was just too short to see everything! For us this was the best camping we came accross in Italy. Really worth while, near enough to the center of the city unlike other campings around bracciano, and no complicated procedures to follow. You have a very very friendly site for normal humans unlike some other camping many kilometers further away from Bracciano, where we nearly starved (bar closed in the afternoon and some other odd times) and where we had to walk nearly one kilometer from the main entrance in order to get to the reception desk and where hardly any info was provided. Thank you thank you thank you soo much! At your camping we really got the feeling of being at home. Not like other places where we found several useless/ridiculous things set up to exploit visitors (sometimes you may start thinking you are in a luna park instead of on a camping). We had the feeling that every corner of your camping ground has been carefully organised, and planned. There must be one or more very creative brains behind this!!! Congratulations! We really can appreciate that! I forgot the name of the kind lady at the reception that welcomed us and made us feel so at home. but I really thank you so much. Also thanks to the fellow camper's from The Netherlands with who we could share/exchange our fine experiences and ideas in Italy I'm not sure there will still be some nuts left for the squirrels after they leave I wish you a fine days and year ahead KEEP IT UP!!! Zuerst waren wir sehr erstaunt, dass wir ein anderes Home bekamen als reserviert, und dann in einer ganzen Gruppe von Iranern- es war gewöhnungsbedürftig aber dann doch o.k. Beim ersten Rundgang fand ich doch ein paar negative Eindrücke die ich hoffe, dass sie in nächster Zeit geändert werden: 1. die Klobrillen gehen automatisch hoch,man muss sie festhalten wenn man darauf sitzen will- was im ersten Moment nicht sehr hygenisch ist- allerdings für die Stehpinkler von Vorteil. 2.Es gab nur 2 Warm-Wasserduschen 3.der Waschmaschinenplatz sah nicht sehr einladent aus, deshalb habe ich vorgezogen nicht zu waschen. 4. zum Glück hatten wir die Spüle im Mobilhome, da die installierten Spülbecken auch nicht sehr einladend waren. 5. die Dusche im Mobilhome sollte mal wieder "entschimmelt und entrostet" werden. Jetzt aber genug der Negativliste- nach dem ersten Tag habe ich sehr viel postitives erfahren: 1.Die freundliche und ansprechende Art von den Campingplatzbesitzern. 2.Die gute Informationen betr. der Umgebung und des Nahverkehrs. 3. Der "hauseigenene" Bustransfer zum Zug war sehr gut. 4. die familiäre Atmosphäre auf dem Campingplatz mit Alexandra und Alexandro Wir haben uns auch die anderen Campingplätze angeschaut- sie sind vielleicht im Vergleich einen Stern besser ausgestattet, aber das ganze wirkte sehr steril und unpersönlich. Da wir noch nicht alles in der näheren und weiteren Umgebung vom Lago Bracciano angeschaut haben, und wir sicherlich nochmal in diese Gegend kommen, werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder auf diesem Campingplatz Station machen. Fazit: wer einen gemütlichen,familären Campingplatz in der Nähe von Rom sucht ist dort bestens aufgehoben. |

Zeer aardige, vriendelijke en behulpzame mensen proberen een goed verblijf voor je te organiseren, wat hun uitstekend lukt. Natuurlijk ook omdat je vanuit je tent via een WIFI verbinding via internet nog meer informatie op kan zoeken over de omgeving. De beheerder is daar zeer behulpzaam bij! We are from Pretoria South Africa and enjoyed our stay in the Porticciolo campsite very much. Our accommodation, a Maxi Caravan, was comfortable and well equipped. Overall the facilities at the campsite are top class. We found everything we needed in the shop and the pizza, freshly made every evening, was superb. Our children enjoyed the camping and swimming in the lake – far more exciting than a cramped hotel room. The tranquil surroundings ensure a very relaxing stay. The owners of the campsite are very friendly and helpful and do everything they can to make their guests feel at home. The train connection to Rome is very convenient. These are our first camping holidays with our little son (13 months of age) and we were a little bit concerned if everything would turn out all right. But even before our trip Alessandra provided us with all information we needed to get here and have a pleasant stay in the caravan. Arriving here Alessandra and Alessandro took (and still take) good care of us, helping us for example to get connected with the internet via WIFI. And Alessandro even kept a necessary Win98 file ready to complete the installation - remember, he's a Linux fan! Thank you. | Message: | Op camping Porticciolo heeft Alessandro voor mij als simpele computergebruiker internet en gmail op mijn laptop geinstalleerd. Hij is mij zeer behulpzaam geweest en heeft zelfs een medekampeerder die goed thuis was in computergebruik en zowel Nederlands als Italiaans sprak gevraagd om hierbij te assisteren. Camping Porticciolo is een zeer gastvriendelijke camping aan het meer van Bracciano met naast het relaxte zwemmen in het meer ook veel mogelijkheden om behalve het eenvoudig bereikbare Rome tal van bezienswaardigheden te bezoeken. Het gebruik van internet en gmail is een erg prettige manier om op de camping op het moment dat het je goed uitkomt contact met het thuisfront te onderhouden en om via internet van het laatste nieuws op de hoogte te blijven. (op de camping) Verder is het hier op de camping ook goed toeven , lekker even bij het meer zitten of een stevige wandeling naar boven in Bracciano.Gezellig even een pizza eten of een wijntje drinken op het terras.De beheerders en overige medewerkers zijn zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam.De sannitaire voorzieningen worden zeer goed schoongehouden en least but not last als u uw laptop bij u heeft kunt u gebruik maken van de wireless internet mogenlijkheden die hier geboden wordt.Kort samengevat een aanrader voor iedereen die Rome en zijn omgeving wil bezoeken. |

| Message: | Een fantastische camping. Zelfs als de helft van je vakantie-bagage bij vertrek op vliegveld Dusseldorf is blijven staan. De sta-caravans zijn namelijk zo'n goed alternatief, dat je daarna geen tent meer op wilt zetten. In de eerste week van mei hangen de fruitbomen naast de stacaravans vol rijpe sinaasappels en citroenen. Die citroenen nog goed eetbaar ook! De beheerders spreken zeer goed engels. Si vous voulez visiter ROME et ses alentours, dans un cadre confortable, CALME, apprécier leur cuisine simple mais goûteuses (pâtes et pizzas fraîches) le camping PORTICCIOLO, au bord du lac BRACCIANO, vous tend les bras. Une bus vous emmènera jusqu'à la gare de BRACCIANO, où un train vous attend pour vous déposer 45 mn plus tard, à quelques pas du Vatican. Le tout pour 6.00 € par personne INCLUANT le métro à ROME. Et pour conclure, la petitesse de leur prix n'a d'égal que la grandeur de leur accueil et de leur gentillesse. Mr BONNET |

| Message: | My stay at Camping Porticciolo was just what I needed; wonderful lakefront with ducks and swans, very friendly staff (especially Daniela at the bar - a new friend now), delicious pizzas, the birds chirping, the leaves whispering, great facilities, and let's not forget the easy train connection for Rome and bus for Bracciano! My next stay in Rome, I'm sure to come here again. Mon séjour au Camping Porticciolo fut exactement ce que j'avais besoin; la beauté du paysage sur la rive du lac, avec ses canards et cygnes, une équipe très sympatique (spécialement Daniela au bar - un nouvelle amie maintenant), de délicieuses pizza, les oiseaux qui gazouillent, le chuchottement des feuilles dans les arbres, d'excellentes installations sanitaires, et n'oublions pas la connection facile par train pour Rome et par bus pour Bracciano. Mon prochain voyage à Rome sera certain d'inclure un détour à Porticciolo. |

| Message: | Porticciolo rocks! We had a really great time. The campsite equipment is great with cheap warmwater, WLAN, a nice Pizzeria and tasty bread for breakfast in the shop. Connection to rome via the BIRG ticket is just so convenient and when you don't want to go to rome, Alessandro and his wife have lots of other really nice places to offer. Be sure to check out Cerveteri! If we get the chance, we will surely return to this cool campsite :o) |

Een van onze mede reizigers werd ziek en kon vanwege de zeer hoge koorts niet meer in de tent verblijven. | Message: | Wij zijn op deze camping geweest begin mei 2005. We waren hier 4 nachten voor een bezoek aan Rome. Het vakantiehuisje (mobilhome) was mooi en ruim. Maar het beste van deze camping was de service en gastvrijheid. De mensen en de sfeer van deze camping is hartverwarmend. Wanneer ik terug denk aan deze 4 dagen komt bij mij het ultime vakantie gevoel naar boven. Cijfers: huisje 8, ligging 8, strand 5, pizza's 8, service 10, personeel 10!! Ik heb maar 1 tip; een plattegrondje van het station naar de camping zou fijn zijn geweest. Na een dag slenteren door Rome wilden we wel graag de korste weg terug naar de camping vinden. |

The camping itself combines a lovely sense of ecology and nature preservation with open source linux wifi technology. | Message: | Wij hebben een hele leuke tijd gehad op de camping.We waren er van 17 juni tot 24 juni. Vooral de reis naar Pompei was geweldig. Heeft heel veel indruk op ons gemaakt. Vanaf de camping met een busje, was erg gezellig. De tour door Napels is ook iets om niet snel weer te vergeten. We hadden gezellige reisgenoten, en die willen we dan ook nog de hartelijke groeten doen. De camping was een goede uitvalsbasis voor de dagtochten naar Rome. | Message: | Hallo mensen, Hierbij een mailtje over de fijne vakantie die wij hebben gehad op deze camping.Wij vonden deze camping zeer gastvrij en hebben hier 2 weken gestaan.En met veel plezier. Mensen waren vriendelijk en aardig. Je kon s'avonds lekker eten bij de pizzeria.De service, met de bus naar Bracciano was goed geregeld. Dus wat wil je nog meer. Ook een heel leuk uitstapje, was de tocht naar Pompei en Napels, geregeld door de Camping.Wij waren met 20 personen een hele dag onderweg. | Message: | wäre dieser Campingplatz nicht bereits wärmstens als günstiger Ausgangspunkt für Tagesausflüge nach Rom in unserem Reiseführer (Michael Müller Verlag, Erlangen) empfohlen, müsste man dem Verlag umgehend eine Mitteilung machen. Doch auch ohne Romambitionen ist der Platz für Camper und Caravaner zu empfehlen. Der nahe See, der Rennaisance-Pallazzo auf dem Stadthügel und die nicht zu vernachlässigende Umgebung von Bracciano, z.B. Cerveteri u. das nahe Meer bieten abwechslungsreiche Ausflüge. Für Feinschmecker emfp.: Büffel-Mozzarella-Käserei an der Strasse nach Cerveteri. Wir konnten wegen der Öffnungszeiten leider nicht selbst kaufen. | Message: | Hello from America! We spent 5 glorious days camping at Porticciolo. Everything about it was wonderful. We loved the pizza. The accomodations were inviting. The town of Bracciano at the top of the hill was so beautiful. We were able to catch a train to Rome for only 6 Euro that included bus and metro access. We were able to buy tickets right there. Everything was so convenient. Alessandra and Alessandro were so kind and friendly. We enjoyed our visits with them. I am definitely planning a trip back to Italy in 2008. This will be on my list of places to revisit. Three of us backpacked Italy and Scicily for 30 days, and we all agreed that Porticciolo and Bracciano was at the top. We all want to return. There are not enough good things we can say about it. |

Schöne Lage am See, freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal - ideal für entspannte Tage zwischen eher anstrengenden Rom-Besuchen! Außerdem preiswert, auch wenn man die Netzkarte nach und für Rom berücksichtigt! Wind zum Surfen war leider nicht, aber es muß in diesem sichtlich sauberen Wasser viel Spaß machen! Absolut ruhig und im Gruenen gelegen, Vogelgezwitscher den ganzen Tag lang und ein toller See zum Baden. Ganz wichtig ist: Hier kannst Du Dich in Englisch mit der Platzleitung unterhalten. Das ist in Italien sehr, sehr selten der Fall... Alessandro und seine attraktive Gattin sind ueberaus hilfreich und nett und kompetent. Die abendliche Pizza schmeckt echt gut (Holzofen!!) | Message: | Nel camping ci sono stato per pasqua in gruppo, 4 caravan e 4 camper. E’ stata una gita molto bella, il lago in questo periodo è veramente rilassante, gli spazi al camping sono ben strutturati, anche se inizio stagione bar attivo, servizi efficienti. I bambini si sono divertiti molto sul lago, le rive sono sicurissime, l’acqua e limpida e bassa. La zona offre molte opportunità come vedete nel sito. Un ottimo campeggio per itineranti, non a caso un altro gruppo di camperisti era presente. Un posto da ritornare sicuramente. L’aria che si respira è di semplicità, cordialità e di amicizia.
